Bob Law, Chair of DFK UK & Ireland

The UK and Ireland group of leading global accountancy association DFK International has a new chair and vice-chair.

Bob Law, who is chief executive of Langdowns DFK based in Hampshire, has been appointed chair of DFK UK & Ireland.

Anne Brady, partner of Anne Brady McQuillans DFK in Dublin, has taken on the role of vice-chair of the national group.

Both are long-standing members of DFK International, which is ranked amongst the top ten accountancy associations in the world, and have extensive national and international experience.

Bob said: “I am absolutely delighted to be appointed chair of DFK UK & Ireland.

“DFK UK & Ireland is a very active and strong national group within the wider international accounting association of DFK International and its member firms make a significant contribution to servicing clients with cross-border business interests.

“With our experience and enthusiasm, both myself and Anne are looking forward to taking the national group further forward and are excited by the opportunities that lie ahead.”

DFK UK & Ireland has 16 member firms operating from 31 offices within major geographical centres in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, The Channel Isles and Isle of Man.

Eighty-nine partners and 764 staff within the member firms provide a full range of accounting, audit and taxation services for businesses and private clients.

Bob said: “As well as providing services independently within their own geographical centres, the high-level of expertise, support and cooperation within DFK UK & Ireland provides a very powerful and coordinated approach to national and international business projects.

“We can service any business needs in the UK and Ireland on behalf of DFK International’s members around the world and as chair, I will be encouraging all of our member firms to become fully engaged in the international business aspects of our national group to make it stronger.”

Bob takes over as chair from Suk Aulak, of Chantrey Vellacott.  As chair, Bob will also be a member of the DFK International board of directors.

Bob has been part of DFK International for 17 years since Langdowns DFK, which has offices in Southampton, Basingstoke and Andover, joined the association. Langdowns DFK was the inaugural winner of DFK European Firm of the Year and subsequently DFK UK Firm of the Year.

Anne, who has been a member of DFK International since 1999, said: “I am extremely pleased to be appointed vice-chair of DFK UK & Ireland and am excited to be supporting Bob as chair in bringing a fresh impetus to the national group to ensure it continues to grow.”
