Eng Kiat is a partner of the merged firms Folks DFK & Co PLT and Azman, Wong, Salleh & Co PLT, where he contributes his comprehensive expertise to the firm’s audit and assurance practice.

With a career spanning more than five decades, he has accumulated extensive professional experience in the fields of audit, accountancy, taxation, and corporate services. His work has encompassed a wide range of engagements, reflecting both technical proficiency and a long-standing commitment to service excellence.

Throughout his career, Eng Kiat has also played an active role in advancing the accountancy profession in Malaysia. His contributions include:

• Serving as a member of several working groups under the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB), where he was involved in the study and development of accounting standards.

• Acting as a co-opted member on various committees of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), providing input on technical and professional matters.

• Serving as an examiner for the final professional examination of MICPA, helping to uphold the standards of competency and integrity expected of future accountants.

• Representing the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) as a member of the audit licensing panel under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance, contributing to regulatory oversight and professional licensing processes.

 

Eng Kiat is an approved company auditor in Malaysia and he is also a registered auditor with the Audit Oversight Board of the Securities Commission Malaysia, affirming his compliance with the highest standards of audit quality and regulatory governance.

 

In addition to his public practice commitments, Eng Kiat currently serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Aeon Credit Service (M) Berhad, a public company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. This role reflects his continued involvement in corporate leadership and governance at the highest level.
