Two leading accountancy firms in central London have joined worldwide professional association DFK International to better serve the global business needs of their clients.

Carter Backer Winter (CBW) and Wilson Wright become the London representatives of DFK International, a top ten global accountancy association with over 400 offices in more than 90 countries worldwide.

Both firms have significantly grown in recent years and are looking to build upon their international service through the association as members of its national group, DFK UK & Ireland.

DFK UK & Ireland now has 18 member firms operating within major geographical centres in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, The Channel Isles and Isle of Man.

Bob Law, chair of DFK UK & Ireland, said: “We are delighted to have such strong representation within both our national group and DFK International from two highly professional firms in London.

“Their services are complementary and will provide us with excellent resources to meet the ever increasing need for professional support and advice with more cross border business being undertaken in one of the top financial centres in the world.”

Both CBW and Wilson Wright are full service and sector focused firms.  CBW is based in Prescot Street in the City and has more than doubled in size over the last decade.  Wilson Wright is based in Holborn Circus, central London, and has grown by 50 per cent in the last three years.

Peter Winter, managing partner at CBW, said: “As a member of a larger association in terms of global revenues, we can demonstrate a greater ability to service the needs of larger domestic businesses, not only in the UK but abroad which will give us an edge in our market.

“We believe DFK International is a great match in terms of our strategic growth plans and our people-led values, with a shared focus on building strong relationships among member firms which result in contact led rather than directory led referrals.”

Michael Lerner, senior partner at Wilson Wright, said: “DFK International has impressive coverage across the globe and the culture and professionalism of its wide spread of firms fits perfectly with our ethos of delivering the very highest levels of service.

“The association can provide us with the access we need to high-quality member firms all over the world enabling us to build further on the firm’s growth, thus enhancing our offering to existing and future clients with international business interests.”

DFK International, based in Temple Avenue, London, has continued its expansion around the world in recent months, with a number of high-quality firms in important economic centres becoming members.

Martin Sharp, executive director of DFK International, added: “DFK International is pleased to welcome these two high quality firms to the association. The culture, ethos and professionalism of the firms matches perfectly with our desire to provide clients an alternative to larger networks, with personalised service and expert advice tailored to meet their needs.

“Both CBW and Wilson Wright show tremendous potential to contribute to DFK UK & Ireland and to DFK International, and we look forward to working with them to help serve their clients as our association continues to grow internationally.”

CBW and Wilson Wright will be formally welcomed to the association at the annual conference of DFK UK & Ireland taking place in Cardiff from Thursday, September 10 to Saturday, September 12.
