An accountancy firm in Uganda is celebrating becoming a full member firm of DFK International and its Managing Partner receiving a meritorious service award.
JP MAGSON, based in Kampala, Uganda, has become a full member of DFK International after being a correspondent member since 2011.
The firm, which offers a full range of services including audit, tax, advisory and risk management, was established in 2007 by the Managing Partner James Magson Musabe. It was set up with just one employee, but has seen considerable growth and now has 18 members of staff.
JP MAGSON has now become a full member of DFK International and is looking forward to working more closely with other member firms.
James Musabe said: “We are delighted to become a full member of DFK International after being a correspondent member for more than six years.
“We have seen a large amount of growth and are well-positioned to service both local and international business.
“Although we have appointed a number of new staff members over the years, we have strategically kept our team small and ensured that colleagues are well-trained and focused on the needs of our clients. Our revenue has grown and we expect 2018 to be our best year yet.
“We now want to serve our clients, the DFK community and other member firms’ international clients at a higher level. We understand the local market and are in a very good position to advise and share our expertise.”
James has also been presented with the DFK International Meritorious Service Award, which is given to an individual who has made an effective, significant and substantial contribution to furthering the aims of DFK International.
He was chosen to receive the award after going above and beyond to promote DFK and its benefits to other firms.
James, who has been in the profession for 18 years, added: “The core values of DFK are our core values, so I am very proud to receive this award.
“I have always been happy to assist members and promote the benefits of DFK International to other firms and will continue to do this whenever I find an opportunity to do so.”
Martin Sharp, Executive Director of DFK International, said: “We are very pleased to present James with this award in recognition of his many years of dedicated service to DFK International.
“He is always quick to respond to any request that we send out and has gone above and beyond in helping source new members.”Back
“Quality of service is a key strategy for DFK International and a priority for my term as President. It is a differentiator and is something that we can control ourselves.”
